Past Workshops

Toxic Positivity

Toxic positivity shows up when phrases like "just stay positive" or "good vibes only" dismiss what someone is really going through. In this workshop, we'll unpack how that kind of mindset can actually make it harder to process emotions and support one another. Through open discussion and interactive activities, we'll explore the difference between toxic positivity and healthy optimism, and learn more authentic ways to validate our own feelings and those of our friends.

Friendship

Friendships can be some of the most meaningful relationships in our lives, but they also take effort to maintain. This workshop explores what makes a friendship healthy, how to set boundaries, and ways to nurture connections built on trust and care. Together, we'll reflect on how to show up for our friends while also taking care of ourselves.

Language Loss & Cultural Disconnect

When a language fades, it can create distance from culture, family, and identity, leaving many to feel caught between worlds. This workshop opens up space to talk about the impacts of language loss and the cultural disconnect that often follows, while also exploring the resilience and creativity communities bring to keeping traditions alive. Through conversation and reflection, we’ll think about what it means to reconnect with heritage, embrace our identities, and support one another in navigating these experiences.

Masculinity and Mental Health

Ideas about masculinity often shape how people are “supposed” to handle their emotions—sometimes making it harder to open up or ask for help. This workshop looks at the connections between masculinity and mental health, breaking down stereotypes that can harm emotional well-being. Together, we’ll create space for honest conversation, challenge stigma, and explore healthier ways of expressing and supporting ourselves and others.
